This section concerns information about certain bottles: - Years of Production, Names of Owners, and Photographs of Premises etc. The main source of inquiry is ADDESSES, remembering that for many of the smaller villages, Main Street would probably have been the only address!

EXISTING BOTTLES STILL TO BE FOUND & PHOTOGRAPHED

 

ARDEE: CENTRAL HOTEL. Other than the bottle is two clear line incised, no further information.

BALLINTRA: Bottles do exist - names not known.

BALLYBAY: SAMUEL GRAY. Not much else known about this bottle.

BALLYMENA: MURPHY’S STOUT. Other dates not yet seen - 1922 - 1924 - 1925 - 1927 - 1929 - 1930 - 1931 - 1932 - 1938.

BANDON: BEAMISH & CRAWFORD. This bottle has a similar transfer to the Beamish of Bandon bottle. The only difference is the addition of ‘& Crawford’ after the name Beamish.

BELTURBET: BELTURBET M.W. WORKS. White bottle - Black Script - Uncertain whether t/fered or incised. Same wording as Company’s Codd bottle.

BOYLE: Tarpey. Not much known except it definitely exists.

BRAY: HENLEY. Not much known except it exists.

CALEDON: THOMPSON. Nothing else known about this bottle except the name / location is impressed.

CARLOW: LAWLER. Not much else known about this bottle, other than it does exist.

CASHEL: RYAN. Not much else known about this bottle, other than it does exist.

CLARA: PEOPLES. Nothing else known except it exists.

CLARA: RABBIT. The Merchant House. Nothing else known other than it does exist.

COBH: - (Queenstown) Early Salt Glaze - name unknown.

DROGHEDA: COONEY & CASEY. Nothing else known about this bottle except that it does exist.

DROGHEDA: BRADY. Not much else known about this bottle.

DROGHEDA: BYRNE. Not much else known about this bottle.

DROGHEDA: PRESTON. Not much else known about this bottle, other than it does exist.

DRUMAHOE: FRIEL. This bottle has “Three Mile House” transferred on it.

DUBLIN: DOHENY & NESBITT. Nassau/Baggot St.  Not much else known about this bottle.  ?????

DUBLIN: KERNAN & LAMBERT. Bottle exists but not much else known about it.

DUBLIN: P. BRADY. Bottle exists - Guinness Coaster - Address is James & Werburgh St.

DUBLIN: FAWCETT. Bottle exists but not much else known about it.

DUBLIN: KERNAN. tan - blop top - standard.

DUBLIN: THWAITES. (Blue Print) Bottle exists but not much else known about it.

DUBLIN: TYSON. The Stag’s Head  Not much else known about this bottle.

DUNDALK: C.D. BAILLIE.

DUNDALK: Deary. (Wheatley)  Not much known about this bottle.

DUNSHALLON: JAMES COX. Not much else known about this bottle.

EDENDERRY: JOHN MOLONEY. 3 lined incised - 2/tone - Not much else known about this bottle.

EDENDERRY: P.J. DELANY. Fancy script - Guinness coaster.

ENNISKILLEN: MULHEARN - Several sightings - supposedly at a recent Lisnaskea auction but no definite proof - so it remains a possible bottle - jury still out!

FERMOY: DAVID SULLIVAN. All white Bottle.

GALWAY: J. YOUNG. All white - champagne shape.

KELLS: McDONALD. 2 Different bottles known to exist for this Company .

KELLS: CAROLAN. Not much else known about this bottle.

KILLALA: Bottles exist - names unknown.

KILKEEL (Co. DOWN): The only information known about this bottle is that it is from Kilkeel and bore a blue transfer of a fishing boat/steamer. It (the bottle not the ship) was last seen heading in the general direction of Scotland more than 25 years ago. A photo or any information about this bottle would be gratefully received.

LIFFORD: PORTER. Not much else known about this bottle except it would be transferred in a similar fashion to many of the Strabane Stouts.

LONGFORD: McEOIN. Not much else known about it.

LONGFORD: DALY. Not much else known about it.

LOUGHREA: HICKEY. “Galtee More - “Merchant” Light mustard colour. Price pm.

LOUGHREA: RYAN. Floral design.

MANORHAMILTON: McGIRR. This bottle definitely exists.

MIDLETON: COPPINGER. Bottle exists but not much else known about it.

MOHILL: O’REILLY. Not much else known about it.

MONAGHAN: GREACEN. Bottle exists but not much else known about it.

PETTIGO: FLOOD. Not much else known about this bottle.

PETTIGO: AIKEN. Not much else known about this bottle.

PETTIGO: BRITTIN. Not much else known about this bottle.

SHERCOCK: R. McGRUDDY. 2t - incised. Bottle definitely exists.

STRABANE: S. QUINN. Bridge End. Not much known about this bottle.

STRABANE: KENNEDY. Not much known about this bottle.

TULLAMORE: DALY. Not much known about this bottle.

VIRGINIA: AMERICAN BAR. Not much else known about this bottle except it resembles the 2 line impressing similar to the American Bar from Londonderry.

YOUGHAL: Wm. COUGHLAN. Not much known about this bottle.
